Nitro Beer – A Quirky Nitrogen Fad

Introduction

Quirky, remarkable and out of the ordinary things tend to attract customers these days. One of the new additions to this trend is the nitro beer or nitrogen beer. Brewers know the importance of the ‘mouth feel’ of the beer. When a beer has a better mouth feel, it is more enjoyable to drink and provides a more immersive experience. Mouth feel, then, is everything. This article is all about nitro beer, nitro brew, nitro pour, or any other terms that are being used to sell this strange concoction.

So… What Exactly Is Nitro Beer?

The usual traditional beer uses carbon dioxide to achieve the fizzy effect that beer is famous for. In Nitro Beer, a 70-30 ratio is used: 70% nitrogen to 30% carbon dioxide. This results in:

  • A smoother, fuller mouth feel. Many describe the feel more like a milkshake than a beer.
  • A larger, longer-lasting head. Instead of quickly dissolving after the beer is poured, a nitro brew will retain its impressive head.
  • A different appearance in the bubbles. Instead of the bubbles looking like they are rising, they look like they are falling, which is just fun to look at.

Instead of getting nitrogen gas delivered to their brewery every time they need it, brewers and bars now install nitrogen generators or nitrogen plants on site to save money as well as time. An on-site nitrogen generator saves the hassle of storing cylinders and calling up suppliers every time one runs out of nitrogen gas. This trend is relatively new in India, but brewers and nitrogengas plant manufactures in India already have a good working relationship. This relationship is only going to move forward with time.

What makes PVC so essential?

PVC has several versatile qualities that helps in meeting several needs of everyday consumer needs. Here are some of the same are:

Easy to alter
One of the best qualities of PVC is that it can welded, shaped, joined or cut into a variety of styles and shapes.

Durability
PVC is resistant to chemical corrosion, rotting, abrasion, weathering and shock. This is the prime reason why a number of people choose PVC for various outdoor and long-life products. Some of which are, PVC door hanger bags, soap hangers, sachet displays and so on.

Strong and lightweight
The lightweight, resistance and strength related qualities of PVC are among the main reasons for its extensive use in consumer goods.

Cost-effective
ness
PVC as a material is quite competitive in terms of value and price apart from being durable and strong. Along with being cost-effective, PVC is also low-maintenance.

Environmental impact
PVC products require less amount of resources and energy during the process of production. Along with this, the environmental impact is also favorable.

Safety
PVC is a non-toxic inert polymer.
This material is used for more  than half a century and is a socially valuable resource. Also, it is among the world’s most carefully tested and researched plastic. PVC hence, meets all safety and health standards for both the applications and products for which it is used.

There are a number of manufacturers who are into the business of making PVC products for consumer goods industry. These manufacturers specialize in providing effective and efficient packaging and display solutions, so as to gain maximum visibility among the customers. This includes products like PVC hanger bags, spices pouches hangers, sachet display and so on. The enhanced visibility of a brand enables it to take the required steps towards a successful business. Hence, the importance of PVC can not be overlooked.

Benefits of Using Liquid Nitrogen Generators

There are several benefits of using MVS Engineering India manufactured Liquid Nitrogen Generators. Some of them are:

The Guarantee of Purity
The liquid nitrogen generators are designed as per the desired purity requirements of the clients. The user continues to get the required purity level, as no deterioration occurs during the operation process.

Uninterrupted Nitrogen Supply
Once you start the generator, it can continue to work 24*7 hence, delivering uninterrupted supply of Nitrogen gas to the user. The user doesn’t have to worry about handling cylinders and about the depleting stock of nitrogen gas, that can cause serious harm to your business.

Compact Design
The liquid nitrogen generators manufactured by MVSEngg.com have a compact design and can hence be transported at your site. These generally require a footprint of less than 3 meters x 3 meters and are ready to be connected.

Well-Proven and Reliable Technology
The Membrane and PSA technologies for generating Nitrogen have been into existence since a long time. These technologies have matured and become better with time. This is the prime reason why on-board nitrogen gas generators are also used in mission critical applications such as fighter aircrafts.

The Use of International Technology
Leading maunfacturer has collaborated with German company, who has invented PSA technology- CarboTech AC GmbH and has been using their high life and excellent quality CMS for manufacturing the generators.

For the Membrane Technology, the company has an agreement with a USA based company MEDAL. The membranes are highly reliable and most suitable for flow rates as high as 5000 NM3/hr.

Low Maintenance and Extended Life Span
Even though some level of maintenance is required for air compressors, liquid nitrogen generators require little or no maintenance at all.

Fast Start-up
Within 5 minutes of starting up the generator, it is ready to dispense the gas as per the required purity and pressure levels. Unline Cryogenic units, these generators do not have the issue of not being able to stop once started.

MVS Engineering has successfully supplied over 1100 Nitrogen Generators, which are well suited for a variety of industrial application.

How Does PSA Nitrogen Generator Work?

The generators that produce Nitrogen gas from atmospheric air by using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology are known as PSA Nitrogen generators. This is a reliable and simple technique that separates Nitrogen from the compressed atomic air through adsorption of oxygen over Carbon Molecular Sieves (CMS) bed. This bed has infinite number of small pores. When CMS is used in the process of PSA, the Oxygen molecule gets trapped in the pore and hence, the Oxygen gets adsorbed and Nitrogen gets recovered to a high degree.

The entire process is fully automatic and controlled by a combination of quick change over valves and sequence programmer. A PSA Nitrogen generator is most suitable for applications that require medium to high purity of 99.9% or more. The generator guarantees the purity of Nitrogen gas and there are no fluctuations during the process.

ADVANTAGES
Some of the advantages are:
1.        The maintenance cost is extremely low.
2.        The minimum life span of CMS is 10-12 years.
3.        The supply of Nitrogen is always under the user’s control.
4.        These generators are highly reliable for running un-attended for months.

USAGE
These generators are often used in,
A.        Military Application
B.        Nitrogen Tire Inflation
C.        Jewelry Manufacturing
D.       Cold Storage
E.        Food Packaging Industry
F.         Oil Extraction
G.       Cement Plants
H.        Aircraft Fuel Tank Inerting

Nitrogen Generator vs Nitrogen Cylinders
The basic differences between the two are listed below:
1.        Nitrogen Generators are more economical as compared to Nitrogen Cylinders.
2.        There are no hidden costs with Nitrogen Generators while there are many in the later one, such as labor cost, cylinder cost and so on.
3.        The gas purity is very reliable and steady in case of generators while this is not with Nitrogen cylinders.
4.        The gas supply is continuous and hence the production doesn’t suffer due to the fluctuating demand of Nitrogen. On the other hand, the dependency increases in the case of Nitrogen cylinders.

It is hence evident that Nitrogen Generators are more useful and economical than Nitrogen Cylinders.
